"Plus who is going to be consoling Sorak there?"

"The commander raises a valid concern," Sorak replied with his usual aplomb, "As you can see, I am beside myself with worry."

Patrick Goodman

Treyva shook his head. "They think we're bluffing," he said. "Mr. Lear, we need to suggest otherwise. Lock weapons on target."

Renny

"Aye sir, " Lear acknowledged and tapped the command key, "Weapons locked on target".

Patrick Goodman

You're not waiting on us, are you, Davy? If you are, I'll transmit my ultimatum.

OOC: B'Rel Helm Control + Conn (10/3) vs. Difficulty 0
Rolled 2d20 : 9, 11, total 20

B'Rel Engines + Conn (7/4) Assist
Rolled 1d20 : 11, total 11
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Davy, aka GM

OOC: Okay, I'm opening up combat rounds at this point. The Klingons, being aggressive, will take the first turn in the first round.

3 Successes vs. Difficulty 0. Success, plus 3 Threat generated.

The ship banks and rockets up out of the atmosphere into the standard orbital plane as it attempts to evade the Drake.

OOC: B'Rel Helm is spending 2 Threat to immediately perform a second action, at +1 Difficulty. The ship is going to take Evasive Action.

B'Rel Helm Control + Conn (10/3) vs. Difficulty 1
Rolled 2d20 : 4, 3, total 7

B'Rel Engines + Conn (7/4) Assist
Rolled 1d20 : 8, total 8
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Davy, aka GM

OOC: 3 Successes vs. Difficulty 1. Success, plus 2 Momentum generated. Total of 2 Power spent this turn.

The nimble scout dances around in the black, making it difficult to target.

OOC: You're up! Who's first? Each role will get an action.

Ship Status
B'Rel - 2 Power spent, +1 Difficulty to hit in combat until Helm's next turn
Drake -

Roles That Have Acted This Round
B'Rel - Helm
Drake -

The Wounded
Cole - Injury/Stable (2 Complications)
Kowalski - Injury/Stable

Current
Momentum 2
Threat 3

Advantages & Complications
Well-Oiled Machine Advantage (when a PC or supporting character assists a PC on a shipboard task)
More Aggressive Strategy Advantage (Tyreen)
Educated Guess Advantage (when using ship's sensors to actively scan for cloaked ships)
Locked Onto Power Signature (reduces Difficulty on a single Helm maneuver or Attack that targets the Bird of Prey, but only after Sensor Operations successfully performs a Scan for Weakness task vs. Difficulty 3 against it; once the maneuver or attack is attempted, Sensor Ops must do another Scan for Weakness to trigger the benefit)
Trauma Shock Complication (Cole; Injury-related)
Massive Internal Injuries Complication (Cole; Injury-related)
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Renny

OOC: Is it worth having the Helm try the Attack Pattern maneuver to negate the B'Rel's advantage in case we need to take a shot?

Davy, aka GM

OOC: You'll have to burn a point of Power, but, yes, a successful Attack Pattern task will effectively counter the Evasive Maneuvers.
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Renny

OOC: As no-one has objected, I assume we go with this plan?

Patrick Goodman

Yeah, I like it. We definitely want to remind them that we're there....

OOC: So, it sounds like the consensus is to have Lt. DelVecchio attempt the Attack Pattern task.

"Maria, get on their starboard quarter," the captain orders. "Remind them we're still here."

"Look big and menacing on their starboard quarter, aye, sir," the helm officer replies, her fingers drifting easily over her controls as she keys in the maneuver commands.

OOC: Maria is now being featured in the episode. I've added the Bold (Conn) Talent to her supporting character sheet.

Maria Daring + Conn (9/4) Attack Pattern task vs. Difficulty 2. Helm Operations focus applies.
Rolled 2d20 : 5, 12, total 17

Ship Weapons + Conn (9/3) Assist
Rolled 1d20 : 12, total 12
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Davy, aka GM

OOC: Maria achieves 2 Successes, and the ship adds another, for 3 Successes vs. Difficulty 2. Success, plus 1 Momentum generated.

The Drake responds quickly to the helm commands, and her powerful engines put her on a vector that will bring her up behind the Bird of Prey.

OOC: Any momentum spends here? Also, do you folks want to keep the initiative? (Note that, since Cole is still in sickbay, you can't use his Quick to Action to keep the initiative at no cost.)

Ship Status
B'Rel - 2 Power spent, +1 Difficulty to hit in combat until Helm's next turn
Drake - Power Remaining 8/9, -1 Difficulty to hit in combat until Helm's next turn

Roles That Have Acted This Round
B'Rel - Helm
Drake - Maria

The Wounded
Cole - Injury/Stable (2 Complications)
Kowalski - Injury/Stable

Current

OOC: For what it's worth, i'm not sure if we should keep the initiative at this point. We're not going to fire first, right so now that we've announced our presence, perhaps we should let them make the next move?
