The tricorder confirms that all of the DNA collected belonged to Vulcans.
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Turning towards the doorway, O'Neil called out, "Lieutenant! When you get a moment, sir, I've got some preliminary data for you." With that, he moved out of the bedchamber and back toward the kitchen area, continuing his scans.

Cole tucks his communicator away and moves to join O'Neil.

"What have you got Ensign? Anything to make sense of this nightmare?".

O'Neil paused his scans, and brought up the preliminary data on the tricorder screen. "Kind of depends on how you want to define 'making sense,' sir, but I have found some blade fragments to compare to the data you found earlier, and five distinct sets of DNA. All Vulcan." He paused for a moment, then said, "There's no evidence of an Andorian being in this apartment any time in the recent past, either. Since I'm sure Mr. Thadis is still in their lockup, if the blade fragments match the previous crimes, wouldn't that be enough to clear him?"

Cole digested this for a moment.
"I'm not sure, Mr O'Neil, but it's a damn good place to start. Send your data to the ship and the office of the investigator so we can get that particular ball rolling."

Patrick Goodman

O'Neil nodded. "Aye, sir," he replied, turning back to his work. "Once the V'Kor CSI team gets here, I'll copy everything I've got to them, and I'll send it upstairs as soon as I finish the site scan."

OOC: For Lear, I count 1 Success, vs. Difficulty 0. Success, plus 1 Momentum and 1 Complication generated.

The complication is going to be that Lear came on a little too strong with a couple witnesses, and there's going to be a complaint against them (violating the Tread Lightly in Vulcan Jurisdiction Directive).

Lear
David knocks on several doors and converses with the various tenants about what they may have heard. The general drift of responses falls along the "didn't hear or notice anything" until the Starfleet security team arrived. The neighbors immediately proximate to N'Varas' apartment report being awakened by some indistinct noise; one (who identifies himself as Selenak) heard someone call "Officer down," and opened his door to find the Starfleet crew in the hallway. The other close neighbors all took the silence after the initial noise to mean it was incidental, and didn't investigate further.

A Tellarite tenant is stubbornly recalcitrant in his lack of answers that the lieutenant presses him to the point of offense. The witness, a logistics expert by the name of Iskaan Darut, angrily mashes his door control to close it in the security officer's face. The encounter with the Tellarite irritates Lear to the point his attitude with the remaining residents is strident, and he gets no cooperation from them.

Security Team
The V'Kor forensics team arrives and receives the data from O'Neil. Satisfied that there is nothing else to learn on the floor and that the perpetrator is no longer in the building, Cole and the security team return to the ship.

OOC: Nolmir, I want to give you a chance to decide whether to spend 2 Momentum to clear the Complication, or make any other Momentum spends (you can Obtain Information, if you desire) before I set the next scene.
"Course, sir?"

OOC: O'Neil is going to make his way to Sickbay to see if the two survivors actually survived transport to the ship.

OOC: I don't have any Obtain Info questions and I'm OK with banking the Momentum and letting the Complication stand.

Renny

OOC: Assuming Cole will go straight to report to the Captain and/or XO and will check in with sickbay as soon as possible also.

OOC: Medical Results

Both patients are stabilized long enough to make it to surgery.

Casey & Dourap - 2 Successes vs. Difficulty 1. Success, plus 1 Momentum generated
Robin & Peter - 2 Successes vs. Difficulty 1. Success, plus 1 Threat generated

The surgery itself is a different story...

Dourap & Casey - 0 Successes vs. Difficulty 2. Failure, plus 2 Complications generated
Peter & Robin - 1 Success vs. Difficulty 2. Failure.

The Complications will be - The Doctor is Shaken (affecting all Dourap's Medical tasks), V'Kor Relations Damaged (affecting all interactions with V'Kor leadership, including cooperation)

Momentum 5
Threat 6
Complications - Violation of "Tread Lightly in Vulcan Jurisdiction" Directive

You gents are welcome to spend Momentum or add Thread to counter either or both of those Complications.

I'll start working on the next scene.
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Patrick Goodman

OOC: I am 110% in favor of alleviating both Complications, 50/50 split with Momentum and Threat. We're already in hot water with V'Kor without adding to it.

Wish there was a way to aid a little more with the surgeries, but that seems to be stretching credulity.
