OOC: Okay, first call for Reputation rolls.

Also, is anyone doing anything with their milestones? (Especially Nolmir, since Tobin has an Arc advancement.)

Voshen feels pretty confident in his piloting skills this mission, but thinks that he could've been more useful during the investigation itself.  He had a lot of opportunities to see and gather data, but didn't have the follow-through to act on it.

He'll use his Spotlight Milestone to trade his 'Dauntless' Talent for 'Quick Survey':

"You have a way of getting a good impression of a situation with only a moment's observation. At the start of a scene, you may immediately ask one question, as if you had spent one Momentum on the Obtain Information Momentum spend. The answer can only provide information that you could obtain with your own senses; you cannot gain information from equipment in so short a time."

With the Normal Milestone choice, he'll sidegrade his 'Gambling' Focus for 'Cold Reading'.  Taking his lessons from long nights at the poker table and applying them to the frustrations of not being able to read Kavoran at the interrogation.

Hi. Can't think of anything for Cole to do with his milestone at the moment.

Reputation Roll - Roll 2d20 vs Difficulty 1

Rolled 2d20 : 13, 16, total 29

Renny

OOC: No successes for Cole there unfortunately.

Nolmir

OOC: Reputation roll, Difficulty 1, Privilege 1-2, Responsibility 19-20:
Rolled 2d20 : 5, 3, total 8

Nolmir

OOC: Looks like two successes!

For Tobin's milestone, I'd like to do the following:

Normal Milestone effect: Nothing jumps out here. I think I'll save this one for later.

Spotlight Milestone effect: Swap in the Cautious (Science) Talent for Studious. He got a bit headstrong on wanting to take Kavoran down, and Spunkmeyer's near-death shook him enough to be more cautious in the future.

Arc Milestone effect: I'd like to add a Focus. How about Encryption? Useful both for encrypting messages and understanding how to decrypt messages, computer systems and the like.

Davy, aka GM

OOC: Just for clarification, the target number for Reputation checks is your current Reputation score.

Another thing, here: Treyva has some discretion in allocating his own Reputation gains to the crew, which take the form of additional d20 the subordinates roll for their own Reputation tasks. So, don't record your gains or losses just yet, until Treyva's Reputation task is resolved.

Okay, so, 0 Successes vs. Difficulty 0. Technically, you can't "fail" a Reputation roll of Difficulty 0; however, I'm going to give you the Complication penalty, so your Reputation potentially drops by 1 point, to 9. Somebody wasn't impressed with Voshen's flying...or, maybe it was the blatant deception so poorly executed in the main sanctuary... ;)

Unfortunately, 0 Successes vs. Difficulty 0. This means a loss of 1 Reputation for failure, and 1 for each die that failed to score a Successes, for a potential total loss of 3 Reputation, to 7. This was a rough stretch for Cole...it's quite possible the sectarian focus (it was a shame, leading Tobin astray like that...), attacks on Spalan and N'Varas, and his using SFIC authority to bypass Starfleet Intelligence restrictions reflected poorly on his leadership of the department.

2 Successes vs. Difficulty 1. Success, plus 1 point of Reputation increase, to 14. Clearly, the stigma of sectarian focus was placed upon the Security Chief, who should "know better" and keep the Science Officer out of such trouble. ;)

I'll resolve Chev's task as soon as he can post his roll.

Treyva Reputation Task, TN 17, D 1

Two positive influences, one negative influence
Rolled 2d20 : 10, 14, total 24

Looks like I met the Difficulty, with one surplus. What can I do with that to help out the crew, Davy? I was more of a background player in this one, so raising my own Rep seems gauche.

OOC: Yup, 2 Successes vs. Difficulty 1. Success, plus 1 point of Reputation increase.

As commanding officer, you have the ability to hand out a d20 for a subordinate's Reputation task for each point of Reputation increase. In this case, you'd have 1 d20 to give out (which would leave your Reputation at 17); Cole probably has the most need, since he's about to drop 3 Reputation, and a single Success on the bonus die will save him.

"Out there...thataway."

Patrick Goodman

Then he should absolutely get that extra d20.
