Davy, aka GM

OOC: I can't find the conversation in this thread, but, yes, tricoders can be set to whisper mode.

Cole sees a shuttered window near the smithy open up, a woman of about middling age looking about curiously. She doesn't seem to see anything, as she shrugs and closes back up. Ally notices the hiding security guard tensed up, as if she was ready to fire on the woman; thankfully, the woman didn't give her the opportunity.

A few moments later, Styles, Reed, and the other guard appear around the right side of the building. The captain spies Cole and company, and gives them a nod, gesturing toward the ox bridge building.
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Renny

Cle gives a terse nod in reply and waves his team forward.

Doug Burke

While moving forward, Ally makes a quick scan of the building, buffering the readings to peruse under cover.

Just let me know what to roll, Davy. Standard lifeforms, structure and contents scans.
"Plus who is going to be consoling Sorak there?"

"The commander raises a valid concern," Sorak replied with his usual aplomb, "As you can see, I am beside myself with worry."

Patrick Goodman

Eyeing the smoke and listening to the metal-on-metal sounds, the young woman thought, Well, that's new. She certainly didn't recall the building being a smithy from the briefing. She flipped open her tricorder and quickly scanned tbe structure; they could analyze it after they completed the mission.

Same as Doug, chief.

OOC: For each of you, then, it'll be a Reason + Science task vs. Difficulty 1; the tricorder is providing the ability to gather the data, so it won't provide an advantage.

Oh, by the way, Gerald sees the groups converging a bit...it looks like Styles' team is moving toward the ox bridge from the smithy, and Cole's is approaching the ox bridge from the east. Tann-Tyra's has just passed the foot bridge and is moving southwest. Is there anything Gerald wants do or look at, specifically?

Oh, and folks, the injured guard is still hobbling, though he's doing his best to keep up.
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Nolmir

OOC: I think Gerald will just be keeping an eye out for any sign that the locals have spotted the teams -- lifesigns moving toward them, phaser fire, etc.

Davy, aka GM

OOC: Nolmir, why don't you give me an Insight + Security task vs. Difficulty 2 1 (reduced by the ship's Advanced Sensor Suites talent), assisted by the ship's Sensors + Security (9/3)?
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Davy, aka GM

OOC: Tann-Tyra - 1 Success vs. Difficulty 1. Success.

Ally - 0 Successes vs. Difficulty 1. Failure.

Current
Momentum 6
Threat 10

Well-Oiled Machine Advantage (when a PC or supporting character assists a PC on a shipboard task)
All Eyes Outward Complication (Apellans, when attempting to oppose the PCs' sneaking around)
Who's Dog Is This? (Cole & Ally's team, when attempting to be stealthy while the domesticated bear-like animal is with them)

Ally attempts to scan the building, but her settings are off and all she gets is a blank screen on her display. She fiddles with the controls, but isn't able to resolve the issue before they're on the move again.

Tann-Tyra, meanwhile, gets data on a single male Neuralite at a large wooden workbench inside the building, where a forge (or stove, or something) heats up the interior. On the bench with him is a number of small unfamiliar mechanisms, lined up in a pair of rows.

Cole's team catches up with Captain Styles at the entry to the ox bridge. There, they find that the walls on either side of the bridge are lined with three doors each. Each side of the ground level of the building is large enough for bulk storage, and, at least, one of the doors should contain a stairway leading up. Styles looks down at Cole's new companion, who's sniffing at his boots, and frowns, but doesn't comment. Instead he gestures for the two groups to keep moving.

"If you get a chance, see if you can find paper drawings of any weapons designs," Styles says quietly as they start onto the bridge. "We still need to find out what kinds of advances the Apellans have been given."

With that, the captain and his team continue on, the hobbled guard a few paces behind; his eyes seem to indicate he's in some discomfort, but he's mostly keeping up with his team despite the injury. Cole and his team are left to determine which doors lead up.
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Patrick Goodman

That should give Mr. Les something to do, she thought. Closing and pocketing the tricorder, she motioned for her team to proceed through the houses to their objective.

Renny

Cole eyes Styles as he moves off, waiting for the other team to get some way across the bridge before proceeding.

"Lets try the first door this side", he whispers, gesturing to the building on their left side, "Keep together and stay alert."
