Ally Assist:

Control (10) + Security (4) = 14 Total
Personal Protection and Small Unit Tactics would be reaching for an applicable focus, no focus.

Rolled 1d20 : 11, total 11
"Plus who is going to be consoling Sorak there?"

"The commander raises a valid concern," Sorak replied with his usual aplomb, "As you can see, I am beside myself with worry."

Renny

Ok here goes

Cole - Control+Security (9/5) - Possibly Ground Tactics as a Focus, i'll let you decide if it's applicable.

Rolled 2d20 : 14, 20, total 34

Renny

Yikes. One success and a Complication !

Nolmir

OOC: Well, on that bright side, that gives Cole and Ally 2 successes at least! I'll probably roll an assist for Tann-Tyra, but I'll wait to see how Styles and Reed manage first.

Davy, aka GM

OOC: Gerald can assist only one of the three Teams.

Styles Control + Security (10/3) vs. Difficulty 2
Rolled 2d20 : 6, 17, total 23

Reed Control + Security (10/3) Assist
Rolled 1d20 : 20, total 20
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Davy, aka GM

OOC: Well, that could've gone better...and never mind the caution in the earlier post; I misread what Nolmir wrote.

Cole's team gets 2 Successes vs. Difficulty 2. Success, but a Complication generated.
Tann-Tyra's team gets 1 Success vs. Difficulty 2. Failure.
Style's team gets 1 Success vs. Difficulty 2. Failure, and a Complication generated.

Who does Gerald want to help? Personally, I say roll to assist Tann-Tyra; I have an idea for Captain Styles' failure...
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Nolmir

OOC: I was leaning that way -- there's a possibility of success without a Complication there. So now that I've said that, prepare for the dicebot to give me 20. ;)

Fryling's assist for Tann-Tyra:
Control (10) + Security (4)
Maybe the Sensors Focus applies? That might be stretching it.
Rolled 1d20 : 8, total 8

Nolmir

Yay, thank you merciful dicebot!  ;D

OOC: The dicebot were merciful! The dicebot were merciful! :D

Cole's team gets 2 Successes vs. Difficulty 2. Success, but a Complication generated.
Tann-Tyra's team (with Mr. Fryling's assist) gets 2 Success vs. Difficulty 2. Success. (And, yes, Sensors would apply, as he's assisting using the sensors.)
Style's team gets 1 Success vs. Difficulty 2. Failure, and a Complication generated.

I like the dog idea that Doug suggested in FB Messenger; we'll go with that, and call it "Who's Dog Is This?" A mangy mutt has, apparently, taken a liking to Cole & Ally.

Current
Momentum 6
Threat 10

Well-Oiled Machine Advantage (when a PC or supporting character assists a PC on a shipboard task)
All Eyes Outward Complication (Apellans, when attempting to oppose the PCs' sneaking around)
Who's Dog Is This (Cole & Ally's team, when attempting to be stealthy while the domesticated bear-like animal is with them)

The group moves along quietly, for the most part, until one of Styles' team appears to catch a rodent hole and twists an ankle. Only the swift reaction of the other security guard muffles her compatriot's cry of pain. The captain and Ensign Reed immediately see to the security specialist, who is favoring their left leg. The captain motions for the other two teams to move ahead, whispering, "We'll catch up in a minute."

Further on, Gerald calls down and tells the two teams to hold up a minute, as a group of Apellans are nearing them. The group of Apellans, seemingly moving toward the west gate in a hurry, don't notice the teams, and, after a moment, they're able to move on.

As they near the northeast section of the wall, a small-ish bear-cub like animal lumbers up in front of Cole and his team. As they freeze, not knowing its intent, the animal sniffs at them, and seems to immediately decide the strangers aren't a threat and proceeds to start sniffing Cole's trousers. It's tongue lolls as it pants happily at its new "friends."

While Cole and Ally are dealing with the animal, Tann-Tyra looks back. She can't see Styles or his team anywhere.
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

"Blast," she whispered. Turning to her immediate superior, she said, just loud enough to be heard, "We have a problem, Lieutenant; Captain Styles and his team have disappeared."

"Are you sure?" Cole looks around, whilst simultaneously trying to keep his new 'friend' in his field of vision.
"Anyone have eyes on Styles?"

Ally's eyes scanned every surface and shadow on sight, looking for any sign of the captain and his team."Negative, sir." She pulled out her silenced communicator and breathed into it, "Team Gamma to Overwatch, we've lost eyes on Alpha. Any help?"

I'm going on the assumption that Styles was Team Alpha, Second rescue team is Beta and the tech team is Gamma...
"Plus who is going to be consoling Sorak there?"

"The commander raises a valid concern," Sorak replied with his usual aplomb, "As you can see, I am beside myself with worry."

OOC: Technically, Gamma is third in the Greek alphabet... ;)

For Gerald's part, he can pinpoint the locations of all the subcutaneous transponders. PM incoming to Nolmir.
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Nolmir

"I'm seeing them 75 meters to your west-southwest, moving slowly," Fryling responds. "They're in the north-central part of the village, near one of the smithies."
