She's on her A game to make us look better to  Styles. He makes her nervous.
"Plus who is going to be consoling Sorak there?"

"The commander raises a valid concern," Sorak replied with his usual aplomb, "As you can see, I am beside myself with worry."

Nolmir

Fryling's Insight (9) + Security (4) Assist

And I'm guessing his Sensors focus (which I completely forgot about earlier ;D) would apply here.

Rolled 1d20 : 6, total 6

Doug Burke

Just realized I did Daring (8 ) not Control (10). So total TN was 14. I still rolled a 1, though, so...

OOC: Okay, 5 Successes vs. a modified Difficulty 0. Success, plus 5 Momentum generated! All 5 Momentum must be spent or lost.

Tann-Tyra's exotic pheromones act like an almost hypnotic elixir, it seems, for the two mugatos that follow her across the hilly terrain. The three security officers move together as a single unit, confident the other two will be exactly where they need to be at every point along the path. They maneuver the mugatos around the patrol and into the perfect position between the two pairs of Apellans.

Now all that remains is to get the guards' attention - or, rather, have the mugatos get the guards' attention...
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Patrick Goodman

For a dumb plan that, by all rights, shouldn't have worked...this is going rather well.

I'll be contemplating Momentum spends at work today, but maybe a "Mugatos Ate My Brothet" Complication for the guards, so that it's that much harder for them to resist leaving their posts to fight the things. I don't know, what do you guys think?

OOC: And here I was worried that I had set the DCs too high for supporting characters.
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Doug Burke

I like that idea, Patrick. How about we use 2 more to give us an advantage whole sneaking through the gate advice into the city, like "All Eyes Outward"?

Yeah, let's do that. Still gonna lose one unless we think of something.....

#266
OOC: Okay, I've added the two Complications below.

The fourth task is opposed:
Tann-Tyra Daring + Command vs. Difficulty 1 (reduced to Difficulty 0 for Fortune Favors...). Fryling can assist her on this one with his Insight + Security.
Apellan Guards Control + Security vs. Difficulty 1 (increased to Difficulty 2 for Mugatos Ate...). One guard will assist the other.

Current
Momentum 6 (1 pending, Tann-Tyra; must be spent or lost)
Threat 10

Well-Oiled Machine Advantage (when a PC or supporting character assists a PC on a shipboard task)
On Their Toes Disadvantage (Opponents; Difficulty for ships to surprise the crew is increased by 1)
Fortune Favors the Bold...and the Foolish Advantage (security teams' efforts to draw gate guards and patrol into an engagement with a pair of mugatos)
Mugatos Ate My Brother! Complication (Apellan guards, making it more difficult for them to avoid chasing after the mugatos)
All Eyes Outward Complication (Apellans, when attempting to oppose the PCs' sneaking around)
"Course, sir?"

"Out there...thataway."

Patrick Goodman

"All right, you furry beasts," she said quietly to herself as she surveyed the path, and the town gate. "There are some people I want you to meet."

Almost her weakest combination.

Daring (8 ) + Command (1), TN 9, Diff 1
Fortune Favors... Advantage

Spend 1 Momentum for Create Opportunity (1 die), lest we lose it
Rolled 3d20 : 14, 13, 2, total 29

Play nice, now....
