"Aye sir," Cole replies, and looks to the investigator to lead the way.

Chev listens to the rest of the away team, but after hearing Cole, the ensign speaks up. "Sir, I was thinking just the opposite from what Cole suggested. If we know where Kavoran is, I'd suggest sending one of us there to let him see us, and gauge his response from there."

Cole raises an amused eyebrow at this.

"Let's do both, sir. Send the Ensign here to Kavoran, size the man up. Meanwhile we start our search."

Cole steps forward, addressing Nahwoor respectfully.

"If I may, sir, where would you expect to find Kavoran at this time of day? It may be prudent for us to begin our search in the areas he is not likely to".

OOC: We're back!!

Cole keeps an eye on the shrouded monk while the landing party gather themselves after the transit, having glanced around the rest of the team to make sure everyone is accounted for.

Cole leaves his seat as soon as the shuttle settles, noting with approval that Drake and Spunkmeyer are already prepping their gear. He moves quickly to the equipment racks at the rear of the shuttle and clips on a set of security armour, with practiced efficiency. He waits for all onboard to have their equipment prepared before moving to drop the access ramp.

Cole pulls out his phaser and double checks the setting.

"You heard the man, people", addressing the rest of the away team, "Check those weapopns."

the thought of flying through a Vulcan sandstorm was tightening his sphincter quite unpleasantly.

OOC: That made me laugh. Nice one.

Cole couldn't help but laugh at this. He makes an exaggerated pantomime of tightening his seat straps.

"Sounds like we're in good hands, Lieutenant. I'm Lieutenant Cole, Chief of Security. Good to meet you both."

"Well, it's not every day we get to take a shuttle through a sandstorm, Mr. Cole," Tobin says as he programs the device's description into his tricorder. "It ought to be interesting, at least. And there's a silver lining -- if we're right about Kavoran, the storm should at least keep him from attempting any anonymous transporter trips until we get down there."

"You're right there, sir", Cole agrees cheerfully, despite the prospect of a potentially dangerous shuttle flight,  "Feels like we're finally making progress here."
